DJ Capitan was born in Cuba and has 16 years of experience in the DJ world. He has had a very successful career to date, having won several prizes and accolades. DJ Capitan has participated in electronic and latin music events all around the world demonstrating his exquisite musical knowledge. His speciality is Salsa Latina, Timba Cubana, Reggaeton Latino, Dancehall, Merengue , Bachata , Latin House, Funky House, Minimal, Progresive House, Deep House and Trans Music. His work covers the origin of electronic music to its Latin roots. This makes for an excellent body of work that allows you to travel from culture to culture through his mixes of cool rhythms. DJ Captain is one of the most prepared DJ's of the new millennium and is also an electroacoustic musician , sound engineer, and productor of electronic music. He also is highly skilled in stage design, light design and video advertisement. All of these titles have been awarded with high merit making DJ Capitan a very talented musical machine designed to make your night fantastic and unforgettable!

Dj Capitan began his career in 1995 deejaying in a small club in Havana Cuba called, Roman Disk. There he shared the DJ Box with other Cuban djs like DJ Alian and DJ Rene who were also working in noted places like Torino Desires of the Sea

In 1996 DJ Capitan was DJ for the summer season in the club The Gold. While there he demonstrated his abilities and from that moment on transformed into a professional DJ participating in several events that have contributed to his catalogue of work,1998-The Peacock,1999-The Cecilia ,2002-2004 Macumba Habana,2006-Salon Rojo del Capry etc...
In Macumba Havana he shared the stage with noted film, sports and cultural personalities such as Luke Wilson well-known artist of Hollywood, noted singer Dali Olivera, vocalist of the group Mana, sports idols like Diego Maradona, and Cuban bands such as Los Van Van, Charanga Havanera, El Clan, Adalberto Alvares y su Son, Maraca, Pablo FG, etc...

In Cuba in April 2006, Dj Captain became national champion in the competition of Salsa Djs carried out by Egrem (discography agency of Cuba). After obtaining first place, Havana Holdings agency invited him to bring his music to countries like England, Ireland, and Spain. He worked for a period of two and half years for the Floridita chain where he also shared the stage with famous artists such as Lionel Richie, 50 cent, Mr Bean(Rowan Atkinson), and the late Patrick Swayze, Cuban bands such as Frijol Negro, Kumar and Telmary, Los Guanches, El Septeto Santiaguero, Interactive, etc.. He has also exchanged his work with other Cuban Djs such as Dj Flecha , Dj Koky, and Dj Kuchy.
